PURPOSE:To implement print evaluation at a high speed with high accuracy by storing a moving quantity data at relative movement in relation to a read timing and implementing print evaluation in response to the moving quantity data and a picture signal when a prescribed pattern and a read means are relatively moved for reading. CONSTITUTION:While a print object and a read means are moved relatively, a pattern printed on a print object is read and a read picture signal is ADD- converted and a prescribed processing is implemented to the digital picture data obtained thereby to implement print evaluation. The moving quantity at the relative movement is stored in relation to the read timing and uneven movement is corrected in the case of the print evaluation. |
