<p>PURPOSE: To provide a circuit board connector with a very large number of contact terminals, and with a latch device possessing high workability and robustness to eliminate the danger of breakage due to carelessness in its handling or the like. CONSTITUTION: A circuit board connector 2 with a latch device includes a narrow insulating housing 22, which is mounted on a parent circuit board 60, and also includes a recessed part 38 for inserting a child circuit 4 in its lengthwise direction. A pair of retention recessed parts 92 for latch devices 60 are provided on both ends 34 and 34'. Each of the latch devices 60 is formed by blanking and folding an elastic metal plate. A curved portion 66 and both sides thereof are provided with a first arm 62 and a second arm 64 extending parallel with each other. A latch engagement part for guiding engagement with a side edge of the child circuit board 4 is formed in the first arm 62, and a retention part of the insulating housing 22 to a retention recessed part 92 is formed in the second arm 64.</p> |
