PURPOSE: To simply construct a user-specific connector by manufacturing component parts as a semifinished product in a manner comprising first and second passages, and by inserting an assembled electric element, a conducting spring piece and a contact into the first and second passages according to specifications for the user. CONSTITUTION: A socket housing of a connector 1 is formed of a front insulator 10 and a rear insulator 20. With an earthed plate 30 disposed extending across insulators 10 and 20, both paired front conducting shields 40 and paired rear conducting shields 41 covering the outside of the insulators 10 and 20, and that of the plate 30, are connected to the plate 30. Moreover, several first passages 11 and 21 are provided piercing through the insulators 10 and 20, and several second passages 22 is provided piercing through the insulator 20. According to specifications for the user, a built-in electrical element 70 is selectively inserted into the passage 22, and a contact 50 adjacent to the element 70 is inserted into the passages 11 and 21. In addition, a conducting spring piece 60 is inserted into the passage 22 to prevent the propagation of torsional action from the contact 50 to the element 70. |
