PURPOSE: To provide a uniform magnetic field on an image pickup plane by arranging a thin saddle-shaped coil magnetic deflection element in a space between an existing deflector and an envelope in addition to horizontal and vertical deflectors to deflect electron beam. CONSTITUTION: An image pickup tube is provided with a saddle-shaped coil magnetic deflection element 13, formed with a band conductor and stored in a space to an envelope 2 in addition to a horizontal deflector 11 and a vertical deflector 11' to be fixed inside a cylindrical support 14. The element 13 connected to an oscillator 17 has frequency higher than serrated wave generators 15, 19 to perform deflection at a frequency of 75MHz, e.g. and generate a uniform magnetic field on an image-pickup plane 7. The saddle-shaped coil formed thin in the radial direction of the envelope 2 can be stored in a space between each of the devices 11, 11' and the envelope. In this way, it is easily replaced with an existing image-pickup tube. |
