PURPOSE: To make fine color regeneration in the red spectral region which is applicable evenly as well to ordinary illumination as to the region of other color, can be used, in particular, for incandescent light, and involves no risk of shortening of the lifetime. CONSTITUTION: A high-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp containing a filler of metal halide includes a first halide of rare earth (dysprosium, thulium), a second halide of rare earth (cerium, neodymium, praseodymium, lanthanum), and alkali halide (sodium, cesium). The filler compensates, in particular, shortage of red color. |
