PURPOSE:To automatically register information in a message other than already registered information to a memory at the reception of the message including the same information as the already registered information in the radio selective calling receiver. CONSTITUTION:At the reception of a signal (a) including its own selective calling number, when calling notice is implemented and a display means F displays the message included in the signal (a) onto a display device A. Moreover, a retrieval means D retrieves whether or not the same information as the information of a prescribed position in the message is registered in a memory C as 1st information (x) and a registration means E registers the remaining information in the message to the memory C corresponding to the 1st information (x) as 2nd information (y) when registered. A name of a person or the like registered in the memory C as the 1st information and an address or the like registered as the 2nd information are handled as part of recording of an electronic notebook and when the user implements the operation of reading a content of the memory C by using an entry device B, a display means F reads the information registered in the memory C and displays it onto the display device A.
