PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a carbocysteic acid zinc composition useful for the treatment of a hepatic disorder. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a carbocysteic acid zinc composition is to blend the carbocysteic acid zinc of a therapeutically effective amount with a suitable vehicle or an excipient, moist the blended material with an aqueous alcoholic solution such as an ethylene glycol solution, agitate, sieve, and dry for preparing a unit dose of the carbocysteic acid zinc composition for an oral administration.
