<p>PURPOSE: To position an orthodontic bracket into a groove properly irrespective of a shape of a line so as to reduce stress by providing side walls which form an inner surface which is bent continuously, are provided with basic bottoms which are connected mutually, and oppose and positioning the basic bottoms between the side walls by providing a projection which is long in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION: A groove 46 is formed together with side walls 48 and 50 which oppose mutually, and a basic bottom 52 connects the side walls 48 and 50 mutually to form a groove which is bent continuously in relation to a projection 54. The projection 54 has a shape opposite to a curved line formed among the basic bottom 52 and the side walls 48 and 50, and the groove 46 has no stress concentration point formed by parts which cross sharply and has an advantage that reduces stress points. A line is positioned at the same depth in the groove 46 of a bracket 44 irrespective of a cross sectional shape of arch line such as a line 56 having circular cross section and a square line 58. Furthermore, excessive winding and friction do not occur when the line 56 having the circular cross section is used in the groove 46.</p> |
