CONNECTOR WITH EARTHING STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To control impedance and crosstalk in a connector by causing the (n)-th row of contact elements of a right-angled electric connector which are arranged in rows and lines to be connected separately to a circuit board and a shield. CONSTITUTION: In a right-angled receptacle 100 connected to second contacts arranged in the rows and lines of a vertical header 40 having a first contact connected to a circuit assembly 122, a first set 188 having a middle part in which a third contact is formed at right angles except those of a plurality of contact elements 135 provided inside an insulating housing 128 which include the (n)-th row of second contacts and a second set 190 having the second contacts in the (n)-th row are provided. Crosstalk can be controlled by connecting the set 190 electrically to a conductive shield 300.
