<p>For grinding a tyre 2 mounted on a vehicle, an abrasive band 5 stretched around rollers 51, 52, 53, 54 and 46 mounted on a frame 4 is used. A jack 7 takes all weight off the tyre 2. A counterweight 45 pulls the frame 4 towards the tyre 2. The pressure of the abrasive band 5 against the tyre 2 can be adjusted to a very low value. <IMAGE></p> |
