PURPOSE:To keep off any sudden accident happening while looking away from a front scene as well as to improve the extent of operation efficiency by making a display luminance regulable with rotation of a polarizing plate. CONSTITUTION:A beam of external light J headed for a windshield C from the outside is reflected of its part to the outside through the windshield C, and the rest goes straight ahead as transmitting the windshield C as it is, entering a driver's eyes, whereby the driver P makes an external scene sightable intact. On the other hand, an information display light L emitted out of an optical information display means D of an information light projector K turns to a polarized light, and this polarized light is regulated of its transmitted light quantity according to a turning position of a polarizing plate E when it transmits the polarizing plate E. The display light L run past this polarizing plate E and an optical member A is incident into the windshield C. A part of the incident display light L is emitted to the outside after transmitting the windshield C, but the rest is reflected, entering the eyes of the driver P, therefore the driver P makes this display light L sightable as it is. In this connection luminance in the display light L is controlled according to the turning position of the polarizing plate E. |
