The device includes at least one column (C1, C2, C3, C4) of storage trays (11) which can move in their own planes, a transfer gadget (12) mounted so as to move parallel to the said column and at least one reader (13a) provided with a drawer (14) arranged in order to be able to move opposite a predetermined position of the said transfer gadget (12).
