PURPOSE:To provide the title apparatus constituted so that the focus can be easily adjusted by a person unaccustomed to ultrasonic measurement or a general person. CONSTITUTION:Scanning (oblique scanning) inclined in a depth direction and becoming linear in a plan view is performed with respect to an object to be inspected having an inspection surface at a predetermined depth by a focus type probe and the measured data of the peak values corresponding to respective measuring points obtained by the oblique scanning are displayed on the screen of a display as images in relation to the respective measuring points. Among the displayed images at this time, the image of a part adjusted in the focus in a depth direction is most sharply projected in the vicinity of the flaw part corresponding to the inspection surface. Herein, when the sharply displayed image among the surface images on the display is selected by an operator and the position thereof on the screen is inputted by an input apparatus, the position of the probe in the depth direction at the time when the measured value of the image is collected is calculated on the basis of the position data of the inputted display data and the relation data showing the positional relation of the depth direction by an image processor and the probe is set at the position. By this constitution, focus adjustment is automatically performed with respect to the inspection surface. |
