PURPOSE:To attain image control with high reliability by comparing reflected light quantity of a reference pattern and a reference original formed outside an original range, and correcting the image forming condition based on that result. CONSTITUTION:The reflected light quantity of the reference pattern 7 and the reference original 11 formed outside the original range are compared and the image forming condition is corrected according to that result. The density pattern 7 is formed as a latent image on a photosensitive body 1, and its potential and toner adhering quantity are detected by a potential sensor 8 and a photosensor 9 after developing. An electrifying device 2, a lamp regulator, output of developing bias electrical power source, and the turning ON/OFF of a toner replenishing unit are controlled according to the deviated quantity with a reference value stored before-hand. Furthermore, lamp voltage and developing bias value are controlled by measuring reflected light quantity from the original ground face part on a contact glass 6 by an automatic image density adjustment sensor 12. Thus, the image formation control with little variation can be carried out. |
