PURPOSE: To provide a device where the flows x1 , x2 ,...xt of data codes taken in a previously defined code family are adaptively encoded to a compressed bit string c(s). CONSTITUTION: This method adds, what is called, a model conversion processing operation (model conversion unit), the times of the generation of the respective codes in the symbol flows are collected in tree architecture which expresses the past code flows of a considered object in order which is previously defined by a re-arrayal context function f(t), the ability of a relative efficiency counter(REC) is buried in a growing tree node and also an adaptive code tracks the change of REC concerning node decision and a tree updatin processing operation. The compressed bit string is succeedingly generated by an arithmetic coder which is connected to the model conversion unit. |
