PURPOSE: To provide a fuel cell which sustains a high temp. and high temperature-varying speed and which well suits for assembling a number of cells of the same type into one solid body. CONSTITUTION: Each of the fuel cells stacked one over another into one solid body has two chambers 11 and 12 which can supply oxygen or hydrogen, are separated from each other by a bulkhead made of stabilized zirconium oxide, and isolated by an external wall 3 made from a copper sheet. A framing member 1 for cells is formed alike from zirconium oxide for checking or decomposing a thermal stress, and sheet 3 has an undulate portion 16. The framing 1 can be used for installing a gas supplying groove 13 in a favorable manner. The connection of a negative electrode 4 with the positive electrode 5 of next cell is generated with a conductive ceramic member 6 to work also as a space holder which may be of hollow structure and be furnished with a filler 7 consisting of nickel powder or sponge-form nickel. |
