PURPOSE:To render superior releasability and heat resistance to the surface of a fixing roll brought into contact with an unfixed toner image by feeding a releasing agent for fixing contg. specified organopolysiloxane as an effective component to the roll. CONSTITUTION:A releasing agent for fixing contg. organopolysiloxane contg. functional groups, represented by formula I and having 10-100,000cps viscosity at 25 deg.C as an effective component is fed to a fixing roll brought into contact with an unfixed toner image. In the formula I, A is -R<1>-X or -R<1>-0-Yf-H, R<1> is 1-8C alkylene, X is -NH or -NHR<2>NH2, R<2> is 1-8C alkylene, Y is 2-4C alkylene, (f) is an integer of 0-10, 0<=b<=10, 10hc<=1,000, (c) and (b) are not simultaneously 0,('d)is 2 or 3,(e)is 0 or 1 and d+e=3. High releasability and superior heat resistance are rendered to the surface of the fixing roll and this roll is used over a long period of time. |
