PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in solubilizing stability by dissolving a higher fatty alcohol and a specific surfactant in a lower alcohol, then mixing the resultant solution with water and subsequently removing the lower alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A higher fatty alcohol-containing water-soluble composition is obtained by dissolving (A) a 20-30C higher fatty alcohol and (B) a surfactant composed of a monoester of polyglycerol having 4-10 polymerization degree with caprylic acid, lauric acid and/or oleic acid and (C) a stabilizer in (D) a lower alcohol preferably composed of ethanol, providing a solution, mixing the resultant solution with water and subsequently removing the component (C). Thereby, the component (A) is homogeneously solubilized in water. |
