The crystal growth apparatus consists of crucibles (4a, 4b) with a cavity (2) in which a crystallisation reaction can occur. The apparatus, according to the invention, comprises: - light-producing means (12) placed outside the cavity on the same side as the base (16) of the crucible; - light-detecting means (22) placed outside the cavity, also on the same side as the base of the crucible; - first means of transmitting light (10, 11, 19, 20) placed between the light-producing means (12) and the cavity (2) of the crucible so as to introduce a first light beam (27) into the cavity parallel to a first direction; and - second means of transmitting light (16, 25, 26) placed between the cavity (2) of the crucible and the light-detecting means (22) so as to take out a second light beam (28) from the cavity parallel to a second direction transverse to the first direction. <IMAGE> |
