PURPOSE:To improve the quality of cast slab by limiting a casting angle of continuous casting machine in the specific range and bending a pass-line in accordance with the change of casting angle at a supporting part of cast slab to arrange a carrying device toward horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:In the caster 14, the casting angle theta is limited in the range of max. 15 deg., so as to maintain to >=(15-20)mm depth of meniscus for the dropping position of molten steel 1. Therefore, C point in a continuous casting machine frame 18 of caster 14 is made to the center, and by holding up a belt carriage frame 23 by a jack 24, length of a link 25 in accordance with the setting angle is set. In the supporting part succeeding to the caster 14, the link length (m), (y), supporting the other end as making the one end of frame 26 to the supporting point of rotation is changed, and so the pass-line is bended in accordance with the casting angle theta and smoothly formed to horizontal direction. As the impurity and inclusion are reduced, the quality of cast slab is improved. |
