摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a method for supporting successive patch applications within a data processing system allowing the continuous calculation of a series of objects through the commitment or the roll back of a transaction or the fault of the system. CONSTITUTION: A selected cursor is designated as a cursor 34 with persistence and the cursor is stored with the reference evaluation state 46 within a persistence cursor table(PCT) responding to arbitrary scanning states 36 and 40 and the commitment of a transaction. Subsequently, the evaluation and calculation of the reference can be reset at the point of the persistence cursor by using the information stored within the persistence cursor table (PCT). When the roll back succeeding the transaction is generated before the next succeeding committing point, the reference can be reset in the preceding committing point by using the information stored within the persistence cursor table(PCT).
