PURPOSE:To enable a user to assign a start address by applying the start address to a counter circuit via an address selection circuit and using the output of the counter circuit as a page recall start address. CONSTITUTION:The address selection circuit 90 applies the address to either of the counter circuit 70 or an address decoding circuit 225 according to the internal state of the circuit 90 when there is the input from an external address pad 100. Then, the address signal can be sent to the input 50 of the circuit 70 and this signal is returned into the circuit 90 and is sent to the circuit 25. The user is able to arbitrarily select the address or automatically generates the address.
