<p>PURPOSE:To provide a tension control mechanism which can make the traveling path of a magnetic tape short in a helical scanning system magnetic recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:Such an inclined part that one part of the magnetic tape travels by a tape traveling regulation member so that the traveling direction thereof is inclined with respect to the reference surface of a tape cassette when the magnetic tape is wound around a cylinder is provided. Then, the turning supporting shaft of a tension arm is vertically held with respect to the inclined part so as to turn the tension arm on a surface which is in parallel with the inclined part. Besides, a tension control post is set so as to be made to abut on the magnetic tape at the inclined part.</p> |
