<p>PURPOSE: To increase heat conduction, to improve brake efficiency and to conduct the pad replacing work simply and quickly in an external caliper clutch or a brake device. CONSTITUTION: A friction disk 16 is constituted of two component disks 40 provided with fins 42 on the inside face only, the fins 42 are arranged in turn at uniform intervals in the circumferential direction to form spiral air passages in the longitudinal direction of a shaft 12 from the surface of each disk 16, and the fins 42 function for true thermal radiation. When the friction disk 16 is rotated, the air introduced from an inlet port 56 is circulated around the fins 42 in a cooling cavity to reach the circumference section of the disk 16, and it is discharged to the outside to efficiently cool a brake 10. A caliper 25 is arranged on the outside of an outer housing 36 and on the outer periphery of the brake 10, it holds a piston 26 and a pad 32 via two pins, and the pad can be extracted by a hand by loosening a screw 100.</p> |
