An apparatus for separation of solid particles from a liquid by pressurization and flotation is disclosed, comprising a flotation tank (20), a mixing chamber (21) for mixing the original liquid (22) with a pressurized liquid (23) and supplying the mixed liquid form the bottom of said flotation tank, means (40) for supplying said mixed liquid onto the surface in the flotation tank, the particles being attached to air bubbles. Catcher means (56) at the bottom of said tank catch the liquid, and removal means (50) remove flotables from the surface in the flotation tank. The liquid level in said tank is maintained by suitable means (57) at a predetermined level. <IMAGE> |
