PURPOSE: To propose a document processing method which is capable of automating a selected data processing procedure. CONSTITUTION: The delay selected within a data processing procedure is automated. Desired delay time is specified and the time is related to the specified document or procedure within the data processing system. Subsequently, when this desired delay time comes, the automated processing of the related document by this system is performed. In an embodiment, a user specifies specified date and hour and the response to the specified document is desired after these date and hour. The desired delay time is related to the specified document within distribution information 44 and the time is utilized for urging the response of a receiver after this specified time passes or delaying the transmission of the response of the receiver till this desired time. In the same way, the user can utilize this technique for time ordering the distribution transmission of a document by transmitting a desired destination list and the desired delay time related to each destination to transmission service. Subsequently, every time each desired delay time passes, the document is automatically delivered to the related destination by this transmission service. |
