<p>PURPOSE:To enable a user to easily recognize that a recording medium, such as a prepaid card, comes to a use limit by a method wherein in the recording medium, a recording part in which image information is repeatedly recorded and erased and a recording part changing its color from a first color to a second color are provided. CONSTITUTION:In a card 13, a magnetic recording layer 8 is provided on one surface of a substrate, and a changeable indication layer 15 as a first indication layer and a second indication layer 19 consisting of a red color layer 16, a thermally color- changeable layer 17, and a transparent protective layer 18 are provided on the other surface of the substrate. The first indication layer 15 is a rewritable recording layer in which the use state of the card 13 can be printed and the formed visible image can be erased by a lift off system. The thermally changeable layer 17 is made of a material becoming transparent and opaque depending on an attained degree of temperature and set to white-opaque as an initial state. When the usable amount of the card is reduced to be less than a predetermined amount, the color-changeable layer 17 becomes transparent and changes the color of the appropriate part by the contact of a heat roller in a device. In this manner, a user can recognize that a usable balance has decreased.</p> |
