摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional accuracy of thickness at an exit side by measuring a gap between upper and lower work rolls at the time of rolling without regard for a fluctuating amount at the time of rolling in a housing system. CONSTITUTION:In the cylinder type scale 4 which is attached via a roller bearing 5 on the rotary center 3a of upper and lower work rolls 3, 3, by directly measuring a distance between both work rolls 3, 3, at the time of obtaining a mill rigidity coefficient K (DELTAh=DELTAS+DELTAP/K) which is necessary for controlling thickness (DELTAh) and affects rolling load (DELTAP) (K=DELTAP/DELTAdelta), the estimated value of the variable A 6 of each part at the time of rolling is made obtainable not by a housing system but by a rolling system only. The estimated value of the variable is controlled in such a manner as minimizing the effect for the rolling load DELTAP in DELTAdelta, increasing the mill rigidity coefficient K, and minimizing the effect of the rolling load at the time of controlling thickness (DELTAh); thus, by enhancing the performance to control, the dimensional accuracy in the thickness is improved.</p>
