PURPOSE: To obtain a synergistic sweet compsn, contg. xylitol and an effective amt. of potassium salt of methyloxathiazinone dioxide and suitable for use in chewing gum, hard confectionery, soft confectionery, a drink, etc. CONSTITUTION: This synergistic sweet compsn. contains xylitol and potassium salt of 6-methyl-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide. The pref. amt. of the potassium salt is 0.01-20wt.%, especially 0.1-15wt.% of the amt. of this compsn. This compsn. is preferably mixed with a gum base and a flavor so as to obtain a sweet chewing gum compsn. |
