<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the mutual friction of a steering cable and shorten its whole length. CONSTITUTION:One end of a flat cable 17 is fixed into a cable cover 15 rotated together with a steering wheel, and the other end of the flat cable 17 is fixed to a non-rotated cable cover 16 fixed to a vehicle body. The flat cable is formed to have such length as to allow the rotation of the steering wheel as well as to hold S-shape and appropriate tension by guide rolls 22, 23 and springs 24, 25. The mutual friction of the flat cable 17 and nonconformity caused by the friction can be thereby eliminated, and the whole length of the flat cable 17 can be made comparatively short.</p> |
