PURPOSE: To design a method for fitting a printing plate in which drawbacks of prior art are overcome. CONSTITUTION: For fitting a offset printing plate on a plate cylinder PP, the plate P is provided with bends 2, 3 designed to be hooked onto the walls 11, 12 of a groove 10 formed in the cylinder PP. The distance along the plate extending between two bending lines 20, 30 of the bends is less than the distance, in the wrap-around direction of the plate P on the cylinder PP, between the two walls of the groove. The plate P is subjected to thermal lengthening until the plate P of the cylinder PP is inserted into the groove. |
