PURPOSE: To obtain more improved quality by heating a material web provided with a liquid or paste-like preparation. CONSTITUTION: A prepreg is obtained by heat-treating a material web impregnated with a thermosetting resin in a substantially horizontal treatment chamber. The material web receives the spraying of heated air in this treatment chamber to be held to a suspended state. The sprayed heated air heats the material web to thin the solvent-containing vapor from the material web to carry away the same. Heat radiation zones (11, 12, 28, 29) are arranged alternate with the spraying zones (3, 27). The material web receives action by the air from above and below from arranged air nozzles to be stably guided to a flat state in a high speed suspended state to be prevented from flapping or the collision with the nozzles.
