PURPOSE: To simplify a conductor structure, a signal processing circuit and the like, to simplify the structure of a digitizer and to reduce the manufacture cost. CONSTITUTION: The conductor structure is constituted of at least more than three conductors which are reciprocatively meandered in the respective directions of an X-coordinate axis and a Y-coordinate axis and are arranged. An interval (repeat increment) between one line in the same meandering conductor and a next line is not uniform and the respective conductors get into one another. The conductor is constituted into a special pattern which can give the binary of a special gray-type code by processing a signal in response when moving elements, coil centers, for example, are positioned in respective small areas regulated buy the adjacent conductor. The small areas roughly correspond to the adjacent intervals of the plural conductors and they show the rough positions of the coil centers. Minute positions in one small area are decided from the size of guide current generated in a specified run or a phase relation by means of interpolation.
