PRODUCTION OF CARRIER, CATALYST AND UNSATURATED ESTER

PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst capable of markedly increasing the space time yield of unsaturated ester by supporting an element belonging to the Group VIII of the periodic table or a compound thereof on a carrier of a catalyst having at least one through-hole for preparing unsaturated ester. CONSTITUTION:At least one through hole 1 is provided to a carrier 2 for a catalyst for preparing unsaturated ester and an element (e.g. Pd) belonging to the Group VIII of the periodic table or a compound thereof (e.g. Pd acetate) is supported on the carrier 2. By the use of this catalyst, the space time yield of unsaturated ester can be enhanced.
