PURPOSE: To provide a method capable of always producing a packing sheet utilizing a fiber other than asbestos in constant high quality and a packing sheet calender therefor. CONSTITUTION: A packing sheet 4 is produced by supplying a raw material mixture mixed with a solvent to the gap between a large diameter heating roll 2 and a small diameter unheated pressure roll 3 to form the packing sheet 4 on the heating roll 2 to cure the same. The surface temp. of the packing sheet 4 in the production process is always measured through a production process by a temp. measuring detector 6 and, corresponding to this temp., the temp. of the heating roll 2, the number of rotations of the heating roll, the pressing force acting on the pressure roll 3 and the supply of the raw material mixture and/or the supply of a solvent to the surface of the packing sheet 4 during process are regulated and the packing sheet 4 of constant high quality can be always produced. |
