PURPOSE:To more exactly express the shape of the head by dividing the respective faces of a convex polyhedron with desired polygonal surface elements, disposing the same within the boundary stereoscopic image of the head and projecting the respective surface elements to the boundary faces. CONSTITUTION:The brightness of picture elements is retrieved from the left end of the image with each of many sagittal images. The picture elements having the brightness of the head skin are determined as boundary picture elements and the distances from the left end of the image to the boundary picture elements are determined to form a boundary data file. The boundary stereoscopic image 41 of the head skin is expressed by such boundary data file. The disposition of a regular icosahedron 42 in the boundary stereoscopic image 41 of the head skin is considered. The respective faces of this regular icosahedron 42 is previously divided by a desired number of the triangular surface elements. The half straight lines passing the respective vertexes of the respective triangular surface elements are drawn from the centroid O of the regular icosahedron 42 as a start point and the points P of intersection with the boundary stereoscopic image 41 of the head skin are determined. The centroid O of the regular icosahedron 42 and the points P of intersection of the half straight lines connecting the respective vertexes of the respective triangular surface elements and the boundary stereoscopic image 41 of the head skin are thereafter connected by straight lines. |
