<p>PURPOSE: To joint and separate a ceramic bracket quickly as well as easily without damaging the enamel of teeth by forming a pad out of plastic capable of deforming and breaking a joint between the bracket and teeth under a compressive force at the time of jointing and separating the bracket and the teeth to and from each other. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic bracket 20 formed out of the combination of a plastic substrate and a pad 21 has a slot 20 formed on a bracket body 26 so as to be open along a vertical direction. A piston rod 27 extending vertically is formed on the bracket body 26 and the bracket 20 is provided with a floor. An arch wire slot 25 accepts an arch wire and on the other hand, accepts a suitable pin in a pin slot 27, thereby locking the arch wire at a suitable position on the bracket 20. Furthermore, a tooth engagement part is formed on the side of the floor directed to the side faced to teeth, and a plastic pad 21 is pertinently fixed to the engagement part with an adhesive.</p> |
