<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a locking mechanism for the cover of a centrifuge from being released in power failure by constituting the locking mechanism such that a shaft intrudes into a locking hole and the shaft advances and retreats only by the rotation of a screw. CONSTITUTION: When a cover 4 reaches a closing position, a part 31 with a reduced section area of a locking member 17 enters a locking hole 15 through a groove 16 and a lug 10 enters a side guide 47 of a sleeve 22. Rotational movement of the locking member 17 is converted to an advancing movement by the engagement of a protrusion 25 with an engagement surface 24, and thereby the locking member 17 moves to the left side. As a result, a conical part 34 of the locking member 17 displays aligning function by the conical shape to enter the locking hole 15. During a further advancing movement of the locking member 17, a locking part 36 following the conical part 34 enters the locking hole 15 to lock the cover 4. The engagement surface 24 composes a part of a threaded part of a spindle 45 consisting of a guide part 18.</p> |
