<p>PURPOSE: To provide a device for cutting and/or slitting a traveling web or sheet material rotatable without vibration. CONSTITUTION: A device for cutting and/or slitting a traveling web or sheet material B is provided. Slitting is performed by two rotary circular knives 1, 1' disposed on one side of the web B, and two outer circumferential cutting edge parts 1a, 1'a of the knives 1, 1' are in contact with each other. One knife 1 is installed on a shaft 10 disposed laterally, that is perpendicuarly to a moving direction of the web B by a support ring 3 and a slide sleeve 2. An elastic circular spring 4 to hold the two knives 1, 1' in prestress conditions to get in contact with each other when it is at an actuation position is provided between the support ring 3 and the sleeve 2. This device is used for a slitting and marking machine to manufacture box-shaped packages as a whole.</p> |
