PURPOSE: To develop an aqueous slip and mold-release agent gentle for an environment to manufacture a tire and other rubber product and a method for molding and vulcanizing the tire and the product. CONSTITUTION: The aqueous slip and mold-release agent contains 0.5 to 6 wt.% of polytetrafluoroethylene, 20 to 40 wt.% of mineral filler and at least 40 wt.% of water. The agent is sprayed to an inner surface of a tire blank before molding and vulcanizing, and a film of the agent is generated upon evaporation of water contained therein. In addition to gentle to an environment and good mold releasing effect, the novel slip and mold-release agent rapidly generates a slip and mold-release agent film desired for rapid evaporating and hence industrial operation for water irrespective of high water content. As a result of the excellent effect of the agent, a lifetime of a heating film used for molding and vulcanizing is substantially prolonged. |
