PURPOSE: To increase herbicidal effect of a phenoxyalkanecarboxylic acid by synergistic effect by compounding the phenoxyalkanecarboxylic acid with N- phenyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalic imide. CONSTITUTION: This herbicide comprises effective amounts of (A) at least one kind of formula I [(n) is 1, 2 or 3; X is Cl or methyl; R<3> is H or methyl; R<4> is OR5 or NR<6> R<7> (R<5> is an alkyl, H, an alkali metal cation, an alkaline earth metal ion, ammonium ion or substituted ammonium ion; R<6> and R<7> are each H or an alkyl)] and (B) an N-phenyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimide of formula II (R is H, F or Cl; R<1> is H, Cl, Br, cyano or an alkyl; R<2> is H or an alkyl), preferably in (1:1) to (1:15) weight ratio of the components B/A and an inert additive. |
