PICTURE PROCESSING METHOD

PURPOSE:To surely discriminate the content of an original by discriminating the identity of an original and a specific picture based on 1st and 2nd features detected by 1st and 2nd scannings. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 1 applies detection of a picture area, pattern recognition or detection of iron content from an original A being an object of picture processing such as copying. Then a discrimination section 2 processes a data detected by the sensor l to discriminate whether or not the original is to be subjected to picture processing for a paper money or the like. In this case, a 1st feature is detected by applying 1st scanning to the original and a 2nd feature is detected by applying 2nd scanning to the original and the identity between the original and the specific picture is discriminated based on the 1st and 2nd features.
