METHOD FOR CONVERTING RESOLUTION OF BIT-MAP IMAGE

PURPOSE: To automatically change an output raster image and to minimize the sharp edge effect that is produced by the digital encoding processing. CONSTITUTION: A two-dimensional original image pixel is magnified by the prescribed magnification (n) including the next step (1). The original image pixel is selected (2), and the binary states of the selected image pixel and the original image pixels surrounding all peripheral parts are decided (3). The selected original image pixel is expanded to an array of (n×n)-magnified image pixels and the selected image pixel is magnified (4). The binary state is assigned to every pixel of the array of magnified image pixels based on a prescribed binary signal pattern for the selected original image pixel and the original image pixels surrounding all peripheral parts.
