PURPOSE: To prevent the collapse of a tissue, easily maintain compatibility with a curved passage and allow an easy extraction after a reaming work by forming a front end for insertion in a bone tract, and a rear end and a cutting surface adjacent to a drive shaft, and further forming a center part, the first conical part and the second conical part on the cutting surface. CONSTITUTION: This cutting head 14 is used for a surgical reamer of such type as having a front end 22 suitable for insertion in a bone tract, and a rear end 24 and a cutting surface adjacent to a drive shaft 16. Also, the cutting surface is formed around the rotational axial line of the cutting head 14, and a center part 37, the first conical part 26 and the second conical part 32 are formed on the cutting surface. In this case, the center part 37 is formed as a truss sector and the first conical part 26 extends from a top adjacent to the front end 22 of the cutting head 14 and tangentially crossing the center part 37. Furthermore, the second conical part 32 extends from the top adjacent to the rear end 13 of the cutting head 14 and tangentially crossing the center part 37. |
