The improvements comprise two independent horizontal shafts, one for the rotor of the blades for capturing the wind and the other for the electric generator, these being connected by means for the transmission and/or conversion of movement which enhance the rotation of both shafts in the same direction, and coupling means for the optional mechanical connection and disconnection of the aforesaid shafts. The means for transmitting the movement consist of an inside gear (internal gear) which acts as mechanical energy accumulator when the shaft carrying the blades is disconnected from the generator. Connection takes place when the accumulated energy is sufficient to overcome the moment of inertia of the generator. <IMAGE> |
