A so-called floating floor which consists of a concrete floor 1, a layer of sand on the latter, and a slab floor 3 on the layer of sand, has, after being in use for a certain length of time, caused the formation of cavities between the slab floor and the layer of sand. A number of openings are made in the slab floor for introduction of a suction pipe which suctions the sand under the opening right down to the concrete floor, leaving sand piles 11. Thereafter, the filling material is poured in through the openings in order to fill the cavities between the concrete floor and the piles of sand below the slab floor so as to form rigid spacer blocks 16 which support the floor. <IMAGE> |
