<p>A process for the production of arachidonic acid-containing lipids, which comprises cultivating a strain selected from the group consisting of Mortierella alpina, Mortierella bainieri, Mortierella elongata, Mortierella exigua, Mortierella minutissima, Mortierella verticillata, Mortierella hygrophila and Mortierella polycephala in a solid medium comprising the whole potato. Lipids containing arachidonic acid in high content are obtained in high yield.</p> |
