PURPOSE: To prevent loose goods from sliding off a conveyor belt and from being damaged when moved laterally or across the conveyor belt by arranging an endless guide belt that is disposed on a longitudinal side of the conveyor belt perpendicularly to it so as to be driven in the conveying direction in synchronism with it. CONSTITUTION: A conveyor belt 2 is guided by support/deflection rollers 3 and 4 on an assembly plate 5, and is mounted thereon with a rotatable distributor 6 at its upstream entry region. Due to this constitution, sausages 10 as piece goods being conveyed in a feed direction F are directed perpendicularly to the feed direction F and kept in their state where they are laid perpendicularly to the feed direction F by a reciprocation member 9. The reciprocation member 9 is provided with a stopper 7 adjustable by an adjusting cylinder 8, such that the sausages 10 are passed over, if necessary, to another device connected to the conveyor belt 2. For the prevention of any lateral slide off the conveyor belt 2 of the sausages 10 directed perpendicularly by the distributor 6 and transported by the conveyor belt 2, endless guide belts 11 and 12 are disposed on both sides of the conveyor belt 2 for synchronous drive with it, to provide a limitation part. |
