The extensometer is used in measuring equipment, for measuring linear elongations and cross contraction of bodies subjected to stretch. It affords a reliable fixation of the sample body during measurement, retains the precision, while at the same time measures the temperature at which the test has been conducted. The extensometer comprises a body (13), with two tensiometric measurement beams (8 and 1), for longitudinal and cross deformation respectively. A top (5) and bottom (11) sensor for longitudinal deformation and a sensor (6) for cross deformation are adjustably hinged to the beams. At the top of the upper sensor, a hook fitted to a wedge connection (15), in which two spikes (16) of high rigidity and heat resistance material are fitted. The sensor for cross deformation, ending in a front and hind prismatic edge, is passed coaxially to the longitudinal channel of the top sensor. The hind edge is hinged to a prismatic bed, formed in the beam for cross deformation, and connected to the beam for longitudinal deformation with a strip (2). At the end of the bottom sensor, a V-shaped bracket (19) is fitted with a wedge connection (21), at the shoulders of which two other spikes (18) are hinged, while, in the longitudinal channel of the same sensor (11), a coaxial, thermal pair (22), the front edge of which is formed as a ram, built out of spherical ribs and ending in a prismatic concave head (9) hinged in the testing body, is made. The hind edge of the thermal pair (22) is hinged through a spring (23) to the bottom sensor (11).
