PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate improved in dimensional stability in the direction of the thickness of laminate, punching quality, etc., by mixing an epoxy resin for the production of a laminate with a specified amount of a combination of novolac and resol phenolic resins as a curing agent. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy resin composition is produced by mixing 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin with a combination of 5-50 pts.wt. novolac phenolic resin with 5-50 pts.wt. resol phenolic resin. A base is impregnated with a water-soluble phenolic resin and dried by heating. This base is impregnated with the epoxy resin composition and dried to produce a prepreg. A plurality of such prepregs are laminated, either or both sides of the assemblage is optionally cladded with copper foils, and the resulting assemblage is molded under applied heat and pressure to obtain a laminate. The obtained laminate can be desirably used in the production of electrical appliances, calculating machines, etc. |
